Browning Double Automatic
All the barrels interchangeable without fitting? I have a steel receiver version and would like a second barrel.

Does anyone have any info on the Browning Double Automatic? A friend of mine said he has one for sale or trade. I won't see him until this weekend. He tried describing it to me. He said it is a semi-auto shotgun with only a two shell capacity that loads from the left side of the shotgun. He said it was used for skeet or trap. I did some looking in the book(s) as far as value goes, and he seems to be in the ballpark. Is it a shooter or a collector?Roy 0 -
Per the Browning web site. My WAG is that your shotgun was manufactured at some point during the first two years of production. Would be the 55/56 time frame.
As far as your other questions are concerned. Probably would take a specialist dealer or collector to answer them. At least where I live, Browning double autos are few and far between.
If one of our folks can't help, you might try the shotgun specific web sites. GOOGLEing will turn up at least one specifically for Browning collectors, besides two large forums used by shotgun collectors.0
