Anyone know their older Hunter holsters.

Have an older Hunter holster that I plan to sell on the auction side but have no idea what will fit in it.
Judging from the Hunter catelog/website, it isn't a current production design. The "contact us" link isn't working for me, and I can't afford the phone charges to wait for a csa.

Number stamped on back side of holster is 3100R 2. It's tan leather with complete coverage fleural carving. It appears to be for a small size single action (?) though my old Ruger Single Six just doesn't feel at home in it. Just too tight.

I was thinking maybe an old Shooters Bible would have the size chart I need. None of the size charts on the web site list a 3100 series.

    Looked threw my old shooter's bible no help. Google say 3100 is the floweral pattern maybe a ruger bearcat.

    It is the fleural pattern, for sure, which leave the "R" (revolver?) and "2" (size) as identifiers?
    Upon closer examination it appears that the holster will fit the 5 1/2" Single Six perfectly. A tight fit at the moment, for sure, as the leather is somewhat stiff and appears to have never had a gun to call its home.

    Well, I pulled out a 1963-64 catalog from Olympic Wholesale.. Had this from my time workin' in a shop..3100 is " Hand Flower Carved", and "R" means Russet.. The other letter would be "B" for black.. In the size chart, #2 shows for Colt automatic .22's, one Beretta, and one Star....

    Beretta Jaguar 6"

    Colt Challenger 6"

    Colt Huntsman 6"

    Colt Targetsman 6"

    Colt Woodsman 6"

    Star FS 6"

    I know from selling them the chart could never show all the makes/models each size fit, but it gave you a place to start.. Hunters were the single best selling holster around for everyday use..

    Just to make you cry, it retailed for $5.95.. The plain one, $3.95..

    You are right about the old Shooters Bible. I dug out a 1960 issue and it confirms Hangfire's findings. Size #2 is for the 6" Colt Huntsman, Challenger, and Woodsman Target. SB listed them for $6 that year.

    Not surprisingly I've found that it's also a great fit for the High Standard H-D Military and other H.S. that don't have the large rear target sights.
