Glock Magazine Compatiblilty
Do the Gen4 Glock magazines work in Gen3 guns? How about general interchangeability between generations?

Yes, you can stuff a gen 4 magazine in a gen 1 gun, and a gen 1 in a gen 4 and they will work fine...though most of the gen 1's are not drop free.

All the mags should be intercompatible between all the generations.
As mentioned, some of the earliest mags may not be "drop free", though by virtue of their early date of manufacture they do have the potential advantage of being legal in some places that (later) adopted "high cap" mag bans, and because of this, can actually be more valuable than "regular" mags.0 -

I have run across a number of Glock magazines lately that supposedly were made in Korea or some other Asian country. They weren't made by Glock. As best as I recall they are unmarked as to their country of origin. As I haven't had any personal experience with them, I can't critique them one way or another.
Just so you know their are Glock looking plastic magazines floating around out their, not actually made by Glock. I would go out of my way to obtain original Glock magazines, if you intend to use them for a personal protection handgun.0
