H&R model 950 repair
I recently traded for a H&R model 950 (found out here it's just the nickel version on the 949). Tried it out and had issues with the action binding. When I took it apart I found the plastic head on the main spring and guide assembly had shattered.
The gun parts supply shop list an assembly with a plastic head and one with a steel head, for the same price. Seems to me I should buy the steel one but wondered if there was any reason I should go back with the plastic.
Anyone here who can enlighten me on this?
Edit: Since I'm ordering parts anyway, are there any other parts in this model prone to failure I may want to replace while I'm, at it?
Thanks

Plastic and GUNS do not mix well for long term storage or use[V] get steel. [^] 0 -
No reason to use the plastic head.. I think they offer them just'cause they have them..
