Does Kahr Arms Make Their Own Magazines?

Or, do they contract the manufacture out to someone else?

If the latter, who is the manufacturer?

  I think so. There are no other markings other than the Kahr name on my 9mm and 45acp ones.

  Think so too. If MecGar doesn't sell it,{the biggest and best} it should be factory only. See this, it may help??

  I doubt it. I don't think any of the large manufacturers make their own mags, it's not likely the smaller ones do.
  
  None of the manufacturers like to talk about which parts they contract out; especially mags, as that would hurt their aftermarket parts sales. If you could buy a Beretta 92 mag made by Mec-Gar in a Beretta bubble pack for $30, or the same mag in a Mec-Gar bubble pack for $20, which would you buy?

  A colleague bought a 9mm Kahr that came with one magazine. The mag works fine, in the gun, but the feed lips don't hold the top round securely. If this mag were to be carried as a spare, it would lose its ammo, one round at a time.

  I agree with Nmeyers, it seems pretty improbable to me that Kahr makes its own magazines in-house. If Browning and Beretta don't, how is Kahr doing this?
  
  If you really want to know, you can simply call and ask them:

  They probably won't tell you who makes the magazines, but if you're cagey about how you ask the question (Are the magazines manufactured at your facility in Worcester MA? If not, then where?), you might get your answer, albeit indirectly.
  
  
  EDIT: I did the unthinkable, and just got off the phone with Kahr Arms to get the ACTUAL ANSWER. An exceptionally polite representative with a British accent told me that:
  
  a. All their firearms are manufactured on the premises of their facility in Worcester MA.
  
  b. They **DO NOT** manufacture their own magazines. All magazine manufacture is subcontracted out.
  
  c. The rep was unable to tell me where they subcontract out the magazine manufacture, but he emphasized that they ARE manufactured in the United States.
  
  For what its worth, Mec Gar makes all its mags in Italy. So the manufacturer here is not Mec Gar. Who is it? Don't know. . .there are many potential mag manufacturers in the USA, one of the largest of which is Pro-mag.

  However you can also try to bend the feed lips inward slightly. This may cause the rounds to bind up if bent inwards too much.
  
  The best recommendation I can make is to use a magazine pouch for your spare magazines. The use of the pouch prevents the top round from bouncing around and thus preventing it from exiting the magazine.   All of the magazines Kahr makes have flared feed lips and are designed that way for the best results during feeding. Drastically altering this design can and will cause feeding problems in our pistols.

  I've got the two that came with my P-9 and bought three more at a show. NONE of them have that problem. The top round is held tight.

  I believe Kahr says they make the entire pistol.
  Check their website where they describe their mags and how they harden them to Rc50 or so.
  I've altered some 1911 mags to function in the TP45 saving about 3/8" in grip length for better concealability.
  The grip frame was notched to accept the 1911 mag baseplate lip for flush mounting.
  The TP45 with factory mag in place is just too long in the grip.
