I have a friend who just bought a 41 Colt. It is not a 41 Magnum it is just a 41, an old one. Do they make bullets for this pistol and if so where can they be found at? Also is the 41 Colt a rimfire?

We just had a thread regarding 41 Colt ammo, at this link.

    http://forums.gunbroker.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=574096

Tell your friend it's available, but way expensive. Have him consider reloading, if he wants to do a substantial amount of shooting with it.

EDIT #1, The Colt shown in the auction is the New Army & Navy Model. It's chambered for the centerfire 41 Long Colt ammo, I have referenced above.

I don't have the pistol so I can't take pictures of it. I don't know how to post them anyway. There is one listed on Gunbroker that looks like it item listing 309732653. Where it says 41 at it also says D A on it. There is something else wrote on it but it is too pitted up to read

Yes, there is such a thing as a 41 Long Colt cartridge. I have a Colt SAA 1897 vintage, chambered in it.

There is loaded Cowboy ammunition available for it from Ultra Max. It is about $75.00/box of 50.

    Hope this helps.
