getting a good pic of a barrel bore?

Trying to take a pic to show the bore for an ad, but having trouble. Does anyone know how to do this with a basic digital camera?

  Prop the gun up on a table pointing at a white wall. With camera on a tripod use manual setting until you find what works.

  Nope, you will always end up with just getting part of te bore. The best way is for a high resolution bore scope...not cheap these days, or any other days for that matter.

  A slow shutter speed and a open aperture will get you as good as your likely to get if your camera will allow you to do it..

  Typically ads that shows these things just have a shot of a light shining through the bore to show that its "bright". You can get some sense of lands and grooves with lots of light good focus and depth of field.
  
  That's a lot better than no picture at all, but its not really a good way to evaluate a bore.
  
  The best way is a borescope, but in you'd need LOTS of pictures to show the ENTIRE bore, and I don't know how practical that really is.
  
  If the bore is really bright and clean, just stating explicitly that it is, and one picture ought to be good enough. If its not, again, a statement of what's wrong and one picture.
