Mossberg ??

G-Daughter had a friend at the farm who had a Model 46 M - B .
Bolt action tube feed;two piece full stock. What I had never seen was the swivel peep sight.
What can you tell me about it ?

  Incredibly accurate rifles, sought after by those of us infected with Mossbergitis. Price of a replacement "swivel peep sight" is obscene. The front sling swivel detaches to become the screwdriver to take down the rifle. Victor Havlin at havlinsales.com has a lot of the parts for older Mossbergs- and is a really decent guy to do business with.
  
  Try some standard velocity match ammo- that rifle can shoot quarter inch groups at 50 yards with a good barrel and a good shooter.

  I still have the model 46b that my dad gave me when I was about 10 years old. Still a tack-driver too!
