I have a Colt marked 1911 slide on an Essex
frame. The frame of course has the serial number.
How do I put it in my A&D book, "Colssex", Colt, Essex?

under mfg. i would put essex. off to the side you could make a note about the slide if you want. can't mess up with TMIF 0 -
Essex since the serial numbers what's "important". 0 -
The receiver IS the gun; everything else is just "parts".
You are a dealer, aren't you? If you are a C&R licensee, an Essex shouldn't be entered in your bound book.

Neal Is correct An ESSEX frame is not 50 years pld Thus your pistol is NOT a C&R fire-arm. I would delete your post If it were me . Or if you Bought it Face to Face from someone that lives in your state. I often did this years ago , then you really don't need to put it in your BOOK at all 0 -
Yes, small storefront Class I in the middle of BF Nevada.
I don't do enough business to have all the nuances occur daily, so by the time something happens again, my old brain farts hard and stops.
Thanx, 260, it's what I did.0
