    Interesting that the Stevens model 5100, isn't in the Blue Book?

    It's does come up with a substantial number of links, doing a Google search though. Probably your best avenue for researching your question.

    Yes, strange that the Stevens Model 5100 is not listed in the Blue Book nor is it listed in "The Breech Loading Shotgun In America 1865 to 1940" by Joseph T. Vorisek. It is listed in both Charles E, Carder books "The Side By Side" and "Side BySides Of the World" but with a verbal description only, no illustrations.There is no mention of what type triggers it has. Suggest you contact the maker for information . For information about Stevens made guns, you need to contact the parent company Savage Arms Inc.

    Thanks, I think that will contact Savage aggain and hopefully find out something. will post any useful info I find.
