870 barrel 34inch
I recently bought an 870 with a 34 inch vent rib barrel full choke,I can't find any imformation of Remington offering this barrel ,it's has all the proper markings,serial number S5xxxxxV,how rare is this barrel,thanks

They were somewhat popular when I was doing a lot of trapshooting in the 1970s and 1980s. Too long for me, but some liked them.
I don't doubt yours is a real Remington product, as labeled.0 -

I've seen one or two of the 34's in the last 4 decades. 0 -
I know of Guys that has 6-8 both 870 & 1100 barrels for CARD compentition also 36".
I use to hunt with a 34" 870 about 1957.-1962.

Those long barrels don't show up alot, but when they do, it is not uncommon to fetch $300.00. I have one for my 1100. 0
