what is this thing?
anybody know what this device is? and what it's used for? it was in a box of gun parts I recently acquired, looks more like a medical instrument than gun related?

no, I believe you might be wrong, I think it's a phlebotomy antique glass with rubber bulb bloodletting cup as shown in upper right of this photo, all the breast pumps I have seen have tube rigging exiting to the resovoir pump apparattus itself, this thing I've shown would not hold much milk whatsoever..this device/instrument is probably a Civil War item worth thousands..LOL! 0 -

It's a breast pump for sure. I sell lots of them in my antique store and on eeebaayyy. Worth about $5 to $10. But I offer FREE instructions for any buyers age 18 to 25.[:D] 0 -

Look at the COMPLETED antique breast pump listings. 31 items like yours. Sold from $3.99 to $9.99. One did sell at $30, but that is an odd style the "Kantleak" company made few of. Your"s with a single ring around the rubber bulb is the most common one around. Sorry.
