    The serial number you have given, doesn't appear in any of my references.

    It would be best if you could post quality close up photos.

    Pre production Remington Rand 1911A's had either a "ERRS" letter prefix, or were numbered between 100 to 175, according to my reference.

    Arsenal rebuild 1911A1's had a "X" letter prefix before the serial number.

    Be aware that none of the 1911A1 frames had who made them marked on the frame . The Remington rand may be marked on the slide but on any Mis Matched frame without detailed Closeup of ever inspector mark on the frame no way for us to tell you what you really have. [:(][:(][:(]

    sorry but that is not an offical rem rand serial number either after market frame or someone stamped in the number

    That "serial number" looks more like it was issued to the Army Air Forces (AAF).
