Engraved Ruger help

Folks, I am trying to get leads as to the engraver of a old model Super Blackhawk. I have removed grips, ejector rod housing, etc and have asked other sources. Please take a look at this link. The story is there with pics. Thanks! Dave[:)]

    Beautiful work, obviously by a master engraver. It looks similar to the work of Bob Yurina in Virginia Beach. I don't have his e-mail address but you can call him at (757) 361-0311

    Probably not but how do you know it was engraved in the 1960's and not more recently? Bob has engraved 1st generation Colt SAA's.

    The last 2 owners owned the gun for the last 40 years and the Ruger was engraved when the first of the two got it..... Also, Master Engraver, Mr. Bob Evans dated the style and technique to that era. All hand engraved, hammer and chisel. We and others are pretty confident of the time period of the engraving, but are trying to see if anyone out there recognizes the style and technique. I have posted the same pictures on other sites and am just hoping for a connection. I appreciate all the help I can get and will follow through with any and all suggestions..thanks again for your help.

    OK, if you know it was engraved in the 1960's, I would definitely try the FEGA website.

    There are a number High end
    engravers in the central Va. area do you know what part of the country the first owner is from. This might help to narrow it down. To have been of this quality I would think you would need at least 15 years expierence this would make him or her 35 years old + or - in 1960' So best case done 43+ years ago Best case at least 78 years old . This will be a very long shot. But stranger things have happened . Hope you can find out but barring engravers record . the best you can hope for is to state "DONE IN THE STYLE OF XXXXX I bought a first Gen SAA reported to be done by Alvin White looked almost like yours could not find anything until I took grips off A.W. in very small very deep BOX on inside of grip frame the letters were no more then 1/64 inch high I contacted mr white and he confirmed it was his work . the total box was 1/8 by 3/16 inch and 1/8 inch deep engraved not stamped.
