Restocking remington 721

Can someone tell me if an aftermarket replacement stock for a Remington model 700 BDL can be fitted to a remington model 721 action with a reasonable amount of work. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

  The 700 long action was the same as the 721 except for the trigger, the safety and the floorplate. The barrel had the bump for the rear sight slot a few inches forward of the action, also the forward part of the barrel my differ from whatever contour the BDL was fitted to. Other than that it should fit.[;)]

  Yes, it can but it takes a little doing especially for the trigger guard or bottom metal as you will.
  
  You will need to buy some bottom metal if you use the BDL stock from an M700 or you could use an ADL or blind magazine stock instead and save the work. The rest is simple stuff requiring some basic skills and good eyeballs for fit.
