6.5 Rem Mag on a Greener Martini Action
I have my eye on an auction on "the other" auction site for a Martini Action with parts, including a barrel in 6.5 Rem Mag. I would think that given the age of this action the pressure would probably blow the thing to bits. Am I missing something?

The Greener Martini Actions were made until recent times, for both modern shotgun and smokeless rifle cartridges. They're not the same vintage as the 19th Century Black Powder M-H British Army rifles. I believe that Navy Arms use to sell the actions. 0 -
Hello rigelb79 UNLESS this is a really modern made action NOT a converted Military one I agree with your thought . I had one of these type actions and For my money I think a Falling block is Stronger. 6.5 Rem Mag is sort of a HOT ROD caliber[:0] be careful. 0 -
I think the 6.5 r.m. is too hot for a martini ( I have several, but none in a 'hot' cal.) 0 -
Well I lost out on the auction anyway...thank you everyone for confirming what I was already thinking. I always find the input on here helpful. 0
