Whats not to like, solid, accurate revolver. Only drawback is weight if you are going to carry it all day. Its a Ruger, its bulletproof!

I have one and really like it , its had some where between 800 and 1000 rounds thru it with no problems , shoots great , only thing i have been thinking about changing the springs, they are a little heavy but i've been putting that off to see if i still need to do that after its broken in and the checking on the hammer spur is too sharp

I had one of the original 6 shot SP 22's, awhile back.

It was a very sturdy reliable revolver. I especially liked that the chambers in the cylinder weren't subject to fouling like other .22 revolvers I've owned,( easy extraction/ejection even after alot of shooting).

The barrel was subject to fouling with hiper velocity .22 ammo though. I shot a box of Aguila Super Maximum H-P's in it, and the bullets started keyholing.

    Thanks all!

I am the proud new owner of one of the new 8 shot model's, with the 4.2" barrel, and Hi-Viz sight. It should make a great little revolver for introducing youngster's. The DA is a little stiff, and so is the SA. Nothing a little TLC, will not correct. While it is not a S&W 63 Kit Gun, it is definately a Ruger.
