Info needed on remington mod.12cs

Any info about the remington mod.12 cs (Special) The rifle I"m looking at is in very good condition, but I don't know anything about the gun, especially the ammo it uses.

  The .22 Remington Special is the same as .22 Winchester Rimfire.
  They run off some .22 WRF every once in a while, so it would likely be shootable.

  I had one and a couple boxes of ammo a few years ago. It shot very good. I seen one that was reamed out to a 22 mag.

  Winchester currently makes 22wrf. Same as the 22wmr, just shorter, much like the relationship between 357 magnum and 38 special

  Ammo is at least 4 times as much as regular LR and a lot harder to find. Make sure you look at the bore, lots of really rough ones and poor crowns from improper cleaning.
  
  The stock angle on a 12 points downhill, the 121 although a little heavier rifle points much better.
  
  Not sure the design is rated to 22 Mag, but they had all milled parts.
