Browning HP pouch

Iam not sure but I believe a browning pouch with a tan colored fuzzy lining is correct for a HP made in 1972.
Does anyone out there know for sure?

    I have a mint(no box)1972 Belgium made Hi-Power.
    I was lucky enough to get it for a good price.
    I have considered investing in an authentic Browning pouch for it,but only if one was offered with these guns in 1972.
    The guns I have seen so far with pouches have all been pre 1970.
    Can anyone tell me in what years pouches were correct to the guns?
    If I can even find one,I know it will be pricey.
    I will save my money if pouches were not offered with new Hi-Powers purchased in 72.

    My 72 has a pouch Serial # 7206xxxx that I think is orginal to the gun

    Im thinking the pouches may have also been sold as separate sales items.But I doubt that was the case.
    Your 72 has a C after the 72 rather than a 0(72Cxxxxx).
    The last pistol designed by John Browning.
    As an admirer of the great JB I was happy to get one.
    I would like to add to its value with a pouch.
    Looks like finding a nice one is going to be really tough and expensive.

    There are at least two versions of the soft case for a Browning Hi-Power. 1969 and earlier Hi-Powers with the ring hammers came in a case with a gold zipper and "Browning" stamped on the left side of the case near the muzzle end. I believe about 1970, perhaps a little later, they began stamping "Browning" on a tab of leather on the fold just behind where the zipper terminates near the muzzle end. The earlier cases will usually bring a little more if sellers/bidders know the difference.

    The lining is the only difference I've seen. The '60,s are red.

    I keep my HP in a black leather pouch with the same colored furry liner as the one you show.
    Mine does not have Browning stamped on it anywhere.
    I found it amongst a bunch of holsters and pistol cases my father had(dad did not own a HP).
    Do you know if the pouch in pic.has the word Browning on it?
    If so,is it on a tab or stamped on the cover?
    I assume original ones will be stamped Browning.

    This is one that I bought in 1972. Had no idea they are sought after and that valuable. I no longer have a Hi-Power.
    Hopefully that rectangular impression will fade--I had a box of ammo on it. I do not store guns in a pouch so it was empty.

    Mark, as a matter of fact, I was. I am not a money grabber like you. You buy a bunch of rifles from the CMP or from others on the cheap and clean them up and change parts around and then hawk them on here.
    I have a lot more to say but I better stop there.

    I wanted to talk with him first to get to know him a little better but his profile doesn't tell me much and isn't set up for e-mail.
    Now that will not happen--he can thank you for that===

    I will remind everyone that offers to buy, sell or trade are forbidden in this Gun Broker forum. It would have been better if you had clearly indicated that the pouch was intended as a gift. Since we now know this there is no reason to continue.

    I will say that I have developed a very unique business technique: I have discovered that if you buy guns at a low cost and then sell them on GB for a higher price it is possible to make a profit. I regret that you have exposed my secret and now I fear that others may try the same thing.
