Are there any adjustable scope mount bases that can be adjusted for windage and elevation that would fit a Remington model four semi auto? I have and old B&L scope with no internal adjustments that I wanted to use. Any info is appreciated. Terrill

Bausch & Lomb and Kuharsky Bros. made bases for the 760 and 740/742 Remingtons. They were set up to use the B&L rings and the non-adjustable B&L scopes. They are, of course, long discontinued but I'm sure you could find some on the auction side. I am not up on the Model Four but if the receiver contour and 6-48 tapping is the same, you should be good.

Note: The "Trophy" bases are similiar to the Weaver bases and are NOT the ones you want. There is a base for the 740, etc. at auction #274348355. That gentleman indicates he has B&L bases and rings for many rifles so you might contact him with your needs.

Sorry, I'm out of ideas. As well as B&L, Leupold, Stith, and Buehler (and probably a few others) made adjustable mounts for scopes as yours but all were out of production prior to your Remington. Sorry I couldn't be any help.

Ambrose appreciate the info. I have a B&L base for the 760 which was on a Rem. 740 when I bought it but it will not fit the Rem. mod four. Have looked at Weavers scope bases list and the 760, 740, 742 use a #62 base while the four,7400, 6, 7600 use a # 93. Still need help from this forum. Terrill
