Help in ID'ing peep sight.
I am trying to figure out any information about this peep sight? Who made it, what time frame made, and of course value?

I'd be willing to bet that your sight is a one off , made by a Smith , that was an excellent machinest ! If I'm wrong , it won't be the first time , and hopefully not the last either . 0 -
As near as I can guess, I'd say Tilden. In the 50's Tilden made scope mounts with bases similiar to the base of that sight. I can find no reference that they made sights though. As an aside, Tilden also advertised that they remodeled Enfields. The workmanship on that Model 1917 bridge and the sight looks high quality. I'm wondering if it could have been a custom set-up. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thanks for the replys guys. What can you tell me about Tilden? Where were they located? There is a Tilden, Nebraska that is not far away and would be reasonable to say that this rifle could be from that area. Also another member on another forum says that he hunted with an almost exact same rifle as a kid. The pictures in this thread has a cut down military rifle stock on it. It originally had a sporter stock that had a right handed comb on it. I am a lefty thats why the sporter stock was removed. Any idea who did custom 1917 back in the day with peep style sights? 0 -

Tilden or very old Redfield 'Senior' rear scope mount base from the 1930s -'40s, with a home or 'smith made peep adapted to it.
Tilden and Redfield were both in Colorado.
It's not a 'Little Blue Peep', as made by Buehler in CA.
Hundreds of 'smiths made up sporters on 1917 rifles from the end of WWI on, as they were the cheapest surplus US-made .30/06 military rifles.

Tilden Manufacturing C., 2750 N. Speer Blvd., Denver 11, Colo. 1953-? Their scope mounts were similiar to Redfield and Buehler, etc. Their add also mentioned, "ENFIELDS NICELY REMODELED AND BLUED" (in capitals). 0
