RCBS 10/10 scale value
Awhile back a buddy of mine asked me to keep an eye out for a decent buy on a beam scale for him. Well I found an RCBS 10/10 at a local gun show. I bought it and now he decided that he doesn't want it and I already have one of my own. It is an older one with the lighter green paint, complete in great shape without the box. I would like to sell it here on GB however I can't find any used ones and new ones start at around $140 or so. It also seems that most want electronic scales. Thoughts on what I might ask for it? Thanks.

toad67,
The 10/10 scales have their followers believe me. Put it up for auction and they'll come out of the woodwork.
I just bought a used one in fine shape, complete with box and cover for $75.00 shipped but you might start a tad higher to get a feel for the market.

Does it seem priced fair for its condition? Thanks for your input.

I just sold one NIB in a local listing for $75 to the first caller, so your price seems reasonable. I find most of the small beam scales get about $20 tops in good condition, but these go for quite a bit more.
Good luck0 -
Interesting scenario.A friend asks you to find and buy an item for him, and then he decides he doesn't want it, leaving you holding the product. Hmmmmmm 0 -
I know, nothing like left holding the bag. Only upside is that I didn't pay to much for it. 0 -
I have used my 10/10 scale since the late 70's, and have no desire to use anything else, including digital! 0
