Winchester model 90/1890 help

I have a 3rd model Winchester model 90. It was in need of some parts to get it back up to speed. The basic needed parts were the collared mag tube, mag rings and the mag tension spring. The gun was missing these when I got it. I purchased used original parts rather than aftermarket stuff. I need help trying to figure out how to install the mag tube tension spring with the mag tube. I don't know of any around to look at for help. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  The outer tube rings are turned into what look like dovetails. I think the spring is held in by the outer tube which is held by a pin in the ring. Mine isn't here to look at.

  Thanks for that Charliemeyer, however I am looking for help installing the magazine friction spring rather than the mag rings. The friction spring kind of looks like a "T" and fits between the barrel and mag tube in the little slot in the end of the tube. Sorry if I was confusing on my original post. Thanks though[:)]

  the upper mag ring has a slot milled in the bottom of the ring. this is where the tension spring rests. so lay the spring into the slot and then carefully slide the outer mag tube into place. it may take a few trys if youve never done it before. do not twist the tube while you are slipping it through the rings.

  I use a torn piece of business card to wrap around the mag tube and hold the tensioner in place. I works great and leaves no marks. I also have parts for these. Al

  Thanks for your responses so far! I have finally acquired all of the parts necessary to put my Winchester back together. The mag friction spring has a slight bend to it with the bottom end of the "T" showing a wear groove into it. I would assume that this is the end and side that should be toward the inner mag tube since the removal and installation of the inner tube would create this wear. Is the friction spring supposed to be flat since it sits in kind of a key way or should it have a bend in it? Thanks in advance!!
