Leupold scope model question
I picked up a Rem 700 BDL in 22-250 with a Leupold AO 7.5X x 40, but there is no model number on it and cannot seem to find one to compare it to on the net. How do I know what I have? The serial number does not have a letter prefix or suffix either. On the front ring all it has is 7.5X.............gumby

It's an M-8 7.5X AO that was made between 1965 and 1975. It's a good scope (I have one on a .222) and I would think it would be almost perfect on your .22/.250.
And since Leupold started letter-codeing scopes in 1974, it was made before then.0 -
Yes, agree that it should be a good choice for your 22-250. In terms of value, you might watch this auction:

This was recently listed for sale and is probably like yours. I'd guess value is in the $150-$200 range.0 -
Thanks Ambrose for the info and thank you 22hipower for the link. I must have not put in the right wording there because I couldn't find one. I will keep an eye on it so I know what to expect when I put it up for sale. I have no use for another 22-250, bought them for trading or resale, because it was to good a deal to pass up. Thanks again......................gumby 0
