.310 bullets

I have an over abundance of
.310 Hornady sp bullets.
Can I load them up for my 308s
without blowing my self up?

  IMHO, you can get away with it with lead bullets at low velocity, not jacketed .310 bullets. Use them in the various rifles with .311 groove diameter, British, Russian, Argentine etc.

  You can push them through a .308 Lee bullet sizing die and try some for accuracy.

  Adjust your data. The bullet will take longer to engrave and pressure will go up, if you shoot without sizing.
  
  I don't know that sizing is the best idea but it may work. The jacket will spring back more than the core. I think they upset modern bullets to final size instead of sizing. They would put a sub-308 bullet into a .308 die and then mash it from the ends so it would squat outward to fit. Then the jacket tries to shrink around the core and you don't have a core wobbling around loose in the jacket.
  
  Then again it might work because the core and jacket will want to become longer as you size them down, and the jacket will spring back more than the core lengthwise, and the pointy shape may center the core in the jacket as the jacket presses against the ends of the core???[?] Give it a shot, so to speak. Lee sizers are very reasonable.
  
  Maybe sell them on the auction side?

  Give corbin manufacturing a call. They can made a die that will do exactly what you want it too. I am making 19 cal bullets (.198) from 20 cal bullets (.204), they work great!

  The idea that jacketed bullets spring back when sized has, in my experience, been more in theory than practice. I used to size .338 bullets down to .330 for my M95 Mannlicher until Grafs started carrying the proper ones. No issue, think I had one wild flyer in a few hundred I might attribute to a loose core.
  
  No problem shooting as is either, IF you have a gradual throat. If it is an abrupt one it could cause pressure issues. I have shot them as is out of a few of my military guns just to see how they did; no issues, just keep away from max loads.
  One other consideration: you must have clearance for release of the bullet. On some chambers 2/1000 of an inch might bind. you want to make sure the round chambers w/o resistance.
