another winchester mod 12 16 ga ?
did winchester actually put the polychokes on some of the 16 ga guns? i have one in my shop with exibition grade stock and forend and it is marked skeet. don't seem right to me.

if there is NO choke marking it is factory. is it marked skeet where the choke marking should be, or near the serial number. 0 -

The barrel has been cut and the Poly Choke added after the fact. What the value is... who knows for sure, but it is not of much interest to the serious collectors. 0 -
Not to hijack this thread but , I picked up a M12 16Ga. this past weekend . It has a Mod. choke , the wood is a little dinged here and there but no cracks , and it has that brownish / purple patina that the old Winchesters get . It was made in 1929 according to the S/N . I think it's going to be my Rabbit gun . They sure don't make them like this anymore ! I traded a Sap tank , that I didn't have $200.00 into . How'd I do on this trade ? 0
