Colt / Thompson magazines?

Hello All.

Did Colt ever manufacture magazines for the Thompson .45 sub-machineguns? If so, how were they marked?

  There are differing opinions by Thompson experts (and I am not such an expert) as the whether or not Colt actually produced magazines for their Thompsons. The vast majority of the box magazines were produced by sub contractors, Seymore Products and the Crosby Co. being the most numerous. There are however some very early box magazines which are marked only with a two-line patent date and there is some support that these were produced for Auto Ordnance By Colt.
  
  This is a quick look at an extremely complex subject and there are guys out there who ahve dedicated their entire lives to the study of Colt Thompsons.
