B & L or Kuharsky mount question

The bases for these scope mounts were made to fit a specific receiver, as are most bases. Since they are long out of production, find a set for your receiver might be a challenge. The rings that attached to the bases came in two types. The first type had a spring loaded plunger that had to be depressed to snap the ring assembly and scope into the bases. The second, and better type, had a flat bar that went under the crosspiece in one of the bases. It was tightened up with a nut that looked like a four bladed windmill.

To add to Herschel's notes: The bases came in either one-piece or two piece for most rifles, the flat bar came in two lengths and extended under both cross bars; the rings came sized only for 1" scope tubes. Elevation adjustment was in the rear base and windage at the front. Screws on the right hand side of the mount were lock screws and the ones on the left were the adjustments. There are hashmarks that represent approx. 1" @ 100 yds. I have several of these scope/mounts set up on my rifles and if you have specific questions, I'll try to help.
