A New .300 Winchester Magnum
I recently acquired a TC Icon (I didn't even know they made a long action!) in this chambering. Back in the 60's, I had a Rem. 1903-A3 rechambered and did some experimenting with it and will use that data as a reference. But I thought I'd ask if any one had pet loads they would care to share.
Thanks, Cap'n, I'll give that load a try. I would think that case should give good velocity to 200 and 220 gr. bullets so I'm going to experiment with those also.

I've shot a 300 Win Mag since 1969, killed a bunch of elk with it.Used this load forever, never lost an animal. I used Nosler Partician bullets for years, but have switched to Nosler Accubonds. They work just as good as Particians and they group better in my rifle, it still holds a consistant 3/4" at 100 yds.
Start with 73gr. and work up, checking for pressure signs.
Win LRP primer
75gr H4831SC
Nosler 180gr Accubond or Nosler Partician.
I use Winchester brass.
Enjoy your new rifle.
