Are the c&r license worth the cost and time to get if one just buys or trades a old gun 4-5 times a year? Also how often do you have to renew them? Thanks 0 -
$30 for three years and a minimal amount of record keeping...Yes, they are well worth it. If you buy three guns a year and your dealer charges you $20 per transfer (many charge much more) you just paid for the C&R twice-over. 0 -
I've had my for 8 years. It's really nice to search GB's Curio & Relic
gun list and find something you can have delivered right to your door.

Well worth getting, I just renewed mine a couple weeks ago and got my new license yesterday. I think you'll find out that if you get a C + R licensee you'll buy more than 3 or 4 a year, or at least thats what happened to me. 0 -
Besides saving the transfer fee, many places give a discount to C&R FFL holders- Numrich and Brownells among them. You can also buy directly from a wholesaler- just checked website for one I deal with- a 91/30 for $79.95, and a P64 9mm Mak for $169.95 0 -
Just be aware that some states such as NY, New Jersey and California do NOT recognize C&R licenses for handguns. 0 -
If you purchase a number of parts every year [?] Then money well spent . If you transfer a number of guns each year that qualify for C&R [?] Then money well spent.IF you go to any out of state gun-shows on a regular basis[?] Then really money well spent[:D]. On the other hand if you are currently buying more Black Guns or Plastic Guns then C&R guns each year save your money. 0
