Isn't it IRONIC that Obammy and the Marxists in our governmemt promote the the slaughter of millions through abortion, yet they are so concerned about innocent people being killed by gun violence that they want to take our guns. Again, all this is just a misdrection play aimed at gaining control over all aspects of our lives. As far as the NRA defending our rights, that too is a joke.

And exactly when was the NRA going to start defending the 2nd amendment? We can thank them for the Uniform Firearms Act, the NFA, and the 68 GCA for starters not to mention a plethora of compromising on various other bills so Wayne's speech rings hollow.

A top official with the National Rifle Association said Friday that Obama will move to "destroy" gun rights and "erase" the Second Amendment if he is elected in November.
Take out a "president" and a "re-"
Doesn't this sound EXACTLY LIKE what we heard last time around from the NRA???
    The boogie man......the boogie man.
    Give us more money!
What good did it do back then?

As far as the treaty goes.....
PRESIDENT Clinton (not his wife) ALREADY SIGNED that treaty with the UN when he was in office.

All that is required is for the SCOTUS to produce a 5-4 declaration that the 2nd Amendment is not an individual right to firearm ownership.

Soon afterwards there would be the presidential decree that all privately-owned firearms must be delivered to designated depots, probably through some sort of buy-back program.

Non-compliance would result in the kicking down of doors at 4:00 AM by law-enforcement personnel.

An important decision will then be required - resistance by force, resulting in the deaths and/or imprisonment of certain citizens and their families, or forfeiture of any remaining vestige of liberty and thousands of dollars worth of personal property.

Something like that will certainly come, at some point.

People will line up to turn them in and some of those will rat out anyone they know who hasn't complied.

For some, the decision in the event of such a tipping point has long ago been made. Such an act would be a clear catalyst for the 3%.

Why do we think that government is taking the steps to establish draconian control in so many areas...they know that some will resist with violence, albeit a tiny minority.

The end-game is approaching, it is merely an unknown as to when and how.

It can happen within the next four years no matter how much money is thrown into the NRA's bank account.

    I disagree on one point...

Initially it'll be "non-sporting" guns that have to be turned in....things will go much sooner if Bubba isn't worried about his Browning Superposed.

Once all of the scary handguns and assault rifles are out of the way, Bubba will discover he doesn't have any more friends and his guns will go into the scrap head along with everyone else's.

Maybe so, but even Bubba's shotgun would no doubt be required to be stored in a central location "for safe keeping."

Indeed, it sounds like the economy is putting a strain on LaPierre's life style.
Also when the dictators outlaw firearms, groups like the NRA will not only be bankrupted they will become null and void instantly.
    Sounds like LaPierre is panicing.

This is in reply to the gentleman who posted that there would be blood in the streets, he is unfortunatly prescient on this matter. If you talk to or overhear the little people (you and I) the word is overwhelming we will be pushed no farther. These folks are openly dicussing their preperation with food, fuel, ammo, and hiding hard currency. All items are being hidden or buried or stashed in some fashion. Oh and by the way these are women in a grocery store. The topic of the coming Civil War, or the forced confiscation of gold and silver. The suject of buying all the guns they can afford, is high on the list, This is flying in the face of forgotten history. Roosevelt administration used the same tactics obammy is going to try.
Obamavelt is not going to save us all.
The price of gas is going to make almost imposible to afford to drive to work. Whats next fuel stamps?

There may, perhaps, be 3% who would do something other than bitch and only then when things are beyond even self-delusion.

    prohibition ring a bell?

if he signs us up with the U.N. the small arms treaty it will override the second amendment in one day
That is correct, treaties are a menace to our liberties.Has everyone here written congress and demanded that they stop any treaty that would remove constitutional rights or liberties. It only takes a phone call. Talk and demand now, is better than bullets flying later.[;)].
