    I can confirm 100%, no. In order to remove the bolt, the safety must be in the "off" position.

    That is the X-Bolt you are talking about, not the A-Bolt II, or the A-Bolt. I have both series of A-Bolts, and in no way, shape, manner, or form, is there a button to depress, to release the bolt. The safety has to be off, in order to open the bolt...PERIOD. That is the major downfall of the A-Bolt's, the only other downfall, is the way the magazine is removed, and the way it HAS to attach to the floorplate.
