Remington recoil pad
I have four Remington 700 rifles with synthetic stocks that have what I assume are Limbsaver recoil pads. They are so sticky that they pull pieces of the carpet out of the gun safes and foam from padded gun cases. I have cleaned them twice and they still are sticky after a time. Has Remington offered replacements for these pads? Second, I have tried to remove these pads, and after removing the screws they still will not come off the stocks. I hope they are not glued on. Any suggestions?[:(]

I would send back to remington to fix. I have a friend who had same problem and they took care of it0 -
Rem will fix them!!! HAWKSHAW 0 -
yes all newer (06+) rem pads are glued on, and are a PITA to remove without hurting /breaking the stock 0 -
I put one of those gooey messes on an 870. That thing would affix to the bottom of my gun ready-locker so bad I was afraid it would never come out. I ended up replacing the entire stock. 0
