I'm looking for info concerning the SA-9. Any test info, info on where I can get magazines, etc.

If you mean an unfired 50-70 is too long, the Camp Gun loads were buckshot or round ball, so were probably length of a fired case?

I know they were shotshells, but the Rim would not fit down through the breech.

Here's a long thread on another forum confirming your finding, old advertisements, and suggestion that the 50-95 case was used:

    http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/5472021/all/It_s_finally_here_and_it_s_fab

The 50-95's rim diamter was only .627 compared to .660 for the 50-70.

Also one on this forum claiming to have original "Camp Gun" cases marked .50 Express:

HRF I thank you very much for the info.It appears that after all these years no one seems to be difinitive on the Caliber.I have owned several of these Standards, and seen maybe 20-25.I seen a Camp gun also with different slide handles, and a unique one that also had 28G stamped on the barrel also.
