I need help with a rem 1100 serial number

I have already read the sticky, and have searched google and still cant figure it out. maybe one of you can help me...

I bought me a remington 1100 12Ga 2 3/4" vent rib off a friend of mine. Id say its condtioton is about 90% or better. The barrel is not stamped anywhere with what kind of choke it has in it. The barrel lenght is 26", 25 1/2" if you messure from the front of the reciver. If you guys could help figure out which choke it has, it would be awesome.

the serial number is N345623V

I would like to know how old it is and the date of manufacture. also if you could help me with an estimated value of what guns like mine are going for. doesnt have to be exact, i just dont know if i have a $200 gun or a $1,500 in my safe. thanks for any help you can give me.


also has engraving on reciever and bolt.

    I would guess that it was made in the early 1980's based on the serial number. I'm curious as to why you would care how old it is, or the DOM; why does it matter?

    The barrel can easily be removed from the receiver, & all non-magnum barrels will fit on a non-magnum receiver. Since your barrel is completely unmarked, I would have to assume that a previous owner put on an aftermarket barrel of unknown manufacture.

    You can see the selling range for field grade 1100's by searching the GB COMPLETED listings, & subtract $100-200 for the aftermarket barrel.

    Fore arm has also been replaced.. Choke marking is about 2 inches in front of the action on the left side.

    my uncle was asking how old it was and might want to buy it off of me, i think the barrel is original cause it says remington arms on the right side and on the left side it says 2 3/4" shells only. but it does not say what choke it has any where on the barrel and is not threaded to take the screw in kind of choke. this gun was not handeled much or shot much thats the only reason im really

    what makes you think that it has ben replaced? no markings on the left side, i knew to check that ouot before I made this post

    Assuming it's original to the gun, barrel code stampings just forward of the receiver on the non-ejection port side indicate the month and year of manufacture.

    You could measure the inside of the bbl at the muzzle and compair to choke chart tables or pattern it at 40 yards in a 30 inch circle and use a chart.

    I got 2 12 and a standard 20 plus 6 extra bbls. All are marked with choke and bbl code. 20 standard I had to slide forearm foreward to read and the Extra bbl for a lite wt 20 appears to be on the bottom .Couple choke markings are slight and not imprinted very far but there. None of my wood matches yours exactly. Maybe it has been changed???? Trap or Skeet wood???? I dont know. Diff than mine a little. My 2 cents

    Fore arm is walnut and darker colored than the butt stock Checkering is also a different style.
