Witness steel or poly conversions

How much of if any is interchangeable or compatable within the steel and poly witnesses? Can you put a slide from an all steel on a poly frame? Or the slides that come on the poly, can they be put on the steel frame? Are the magazines different between the poly and all steel guns?

  Are you under the impression that since Tanfoglio makes the guns, that they are made one-at-a-time, and no amount of fitting and filing will make parts interchangable?
  Welcome to the new Millenium, Pops!
  We'll start with the obvious; mags will fit all except the very expensive Team/Match ones.
  Conversion slides are interchangable between steel fullsize and polymer fullsize.
  
  Etc.
  Etc.
  
  Maybe you should look at their website for more info and some way to contact them about your parts gun.

  I had checked their website and it was not clear as to the slides being interchangeable between the FS Steel and FS Poly. I was looking at magazines on CTD and they listed mags separately with disclaimers that "these will not work on" Steel or Poly respectfully. After looking again at the EAA site there does seem to be different options for mags and they seem different for each caliber also. My hope was the parts were as interchangeable between the Steel and the Poly as much as the full size steel ones are.
