760 8rd. '06 mags
I just bought 2 8 round magazines for my late 70's remington 760 carbine in 30.06. They are marked D&E, all steel. I've looked on the web but the only mention of D&E mags. are 12 rounders. Paid $25 for pair. Deal or no deal?

Why would you want a 12 round mag? Are they legal? I believe in Michigan you are limited to 5 rounds in a semi-auto High Power rifle. For hunting, I rarly carry more than THREE rounds in any rifle. Seem like a good price! 0 -
Sorry...I know better! I was thinking the 760 was a semi-auto...I KNOW it's not...I have two EARLY 760's....but still....Why a need for more than FIVE ROUNDS??? 0 -
A successful sale is where both the BUYER and SELLER are happy. If you like the magazines, for what ever purpose you want them for, and your check to the seller does not bounce, both parties are happy.

To Michibay: Ah, sorry dude but that's a silly question. Obviously I wanted higher cap. With your logic, why 30rds. in an AR or 17rds. or more in a Glock etc. etc. etc. I don't even go hunting anymore but I like shooting this thing, besides; those 4 round mags. can be a real ***** to insert and remove, especially with arthritis! Inserting these longer ones are pretty much as easy as slipping a mag. in a Lee-Enfield with no banged up thumbs or nails. 0 -

Maybe I am from the OLD SCHOOL! When I think of a 760...I think of a Classic Deer Hunting Rifle...not a MILITARY WEAPON! And...if it is USED as it is SUPPOSED to...FIVE ROUNDS IS PLENTY! For TARGET...I was taught ONE ROUND AT A TIME!!! 0
