I have come across a FGriffin and Howe custom rifle Built on a low wall action in 22 express anyone have any information on this caliber

  Maybe a .22 Reed Express? It's the 7.62x25 Tokarev case necked down to .224 Your best bet is a chamber cast, so you have dimensions to work with.

  +1 for a chamber cast or post a pic of the case if you have one. I'd make sure the bore looked good to justify the effort.

  I think the 22 Express = 22 Hornet. Will a 22 Hornet round chamber?
