Is your pot full, or empty?

I use an electric bottom pour pot. I've always stored it full of lead, on the theory that it protects it from the atmosphere.

Am I off my rocker? Should I empty it?

What say the experts?[}:)] Non-Experts? Rank Amateurs?

I just got done casting, and was wondering.[?]

  I like to leave the drain covered, the pot doesn't need to be full.

  Empty. Have to clean the Lee 10 lb pot after use. Interesting thought.

  I leave my lead pot at least half full. Not sure of a good reason just allways have.
