b-92 barrel band

i've struck out finding a barrel band for my browning .44 /mod 92....i've cracked the barrel band (drove pin in wrong way:(
and can't live with it!! is there a way to weld what apeare...s to be cast alumiumin?

  A good welder could do it. Have you considered making one out of some brass stock? Maybe you could modify a Winchester part.

  Welding is the easy part, refinishing the aluminum is a bugger.
  
  To weld, v out the crack area, back up the area to be welded with brass or copper, weld using AC current & a TIG machine.
