What does a MANNLICHER stock

do to the accuracy of the rifle it's on?
Their is no way the bbl. could possibly be free floated in one so,are they designed for short range or what?

I have a Ruger 10/22 and a Swedish mauser with full length stocks that are free floated. Why can't they exist?

No where is it cast in stone that a rifle has to have a "floated" barrel to shoot accurately.

In our modern world of cnc machining and slam dunk assembly, the free floating works best for ease of manufacture with a minimum of hand work. The full length stock requires more hand work by a craftsman for proper metal to wood fit. The result if properly done is both functional & aesthetic, but for man hours plus skill level required, it's not a real production money maker.

As a result, you seldom see a volume manufacturer risk their reputation on a style that is likly to be non-profitable or non-functional just for the sake of the "cool" factor.

Contact any of the manufacturer's custom shops & ask for Mannlicher style, then sit down before you get the price quote. Hand made is nice if you can afford 1st class.
