What do you need to buy a rifle in NYS ? Lets say a 30-30 Winchester for instance..
1) Just standard backgroundcheck ?
2) Hunting license and background check ?

  Are post ban high cap pistol mags OK for your state ? Can you order them from an out of state person or business and have them sent in ?

  go to dept of public safety home page. there should be an icon for assault weapons ban. that should list what you are looking for.

  High cap mags are fine in Connecticut, no restrictions.
