Carbines in the safe
Hi, Other than a dowel rod in the barrel. How do you guys handle carbines that don't reach the the racks in the safe? Do any of the safe companies make something for this or good home methods?
Thanks

One of my safes has 10 M1 carbines in it. I put 2X4s across the floor of the safe (stack as needed for height) then put down a towel to cover the boards to rest the guns butts on. This raises the floor up enough so the carbines barrels reach. This method is easy to remove if you want to return to storing longer guns in the same area, plus you can raise the entire floor of the safe or just one row of guns. I raised just the two back rows in this safe. 0 -
THanks, That sounds like a winner to me. 0 -
The racks are usually adjustable. You can move them down, if it does not interfear with your longer weapons.

my shelf has capabilities for shelves on both sides. I have no shelves on one side for long guns. One shelf low on the other side for carbines to sit on in order to reach the barrel grooves on the walls. Pistols are on the door. Works well for me 0
