What's this a mag for???
Hi,
I found this in my closet and don't even remember how I got this. Looks like a pistol mag but to what I don't know. Hoping you guys can tell me. The only markings are "LONG RIFLE ONLY" and that's on one side and the bottom. It holds 10 rounds of 22. Thanks for the help. I tried pasting each pic but couldn't get it to work and got tired of waiting on my slow, old computer so I post a link to the pictures so I hope you don't mind. Thanks

Older Marlin bolt-actions took the curved magazine, like this one:

Newer Marlin bolt-actions, and autos, except for tube-fed autos, use the straight magazine like yours, and like these:

Yours looks like it was made for the bolt action rifles exclusively. I don't see the protrusion on the follower that activates the last-shot-hold-open feature. It will probably work in a semi-auto, but not hold open the bolt after the magazine is empty. All the current magazines have that, so they will work well in bolt-action or semi-auto rifles. (At least that's what the tech support people at Marlin told me.)0 -
Thanks for the help guys! 0
