Will a new marlin 60 lower action assembly work in a old Marlin 60 if the "bolt hold open" lever is removed and will it still function properly?

  NO, THE BOLT WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED ALSO, CHEAPER TO BUY A NEW RIFLE
