A H Fox SXS shotgun 45000x SKEETER ???
Hello I received some information here on ask the expert a few months ago on a BURT BECKER Gun. That one is not for sale . Today's question is I have a Fox I purchased from the same source. Gun Trader Guide calls this a SKEETER[?][?][?] I may decide to sell it I would like to get some Idea of Value. This 12 Ga. shotgun that came with a letter from John T. Callahan. The serial is 45000X The letter among other things states the records show it stayed at Savage Arms as an "OFFICE SAMPLE" all other factory notes check out except It has No Recoil Pad it has an OLD smooth Brass flat butt plate Perfect fit. The other information is #3 skeet 12 Gauge 28 " choked Imp Cylinder (R) Imp Modified (L)#2 weight`14" length of pull 1-1/2 inch drop at comb 2" drop at heel, Half Pistol grip weight 7-1/2 stock English Walnut, raised ventilated rib Single trigger -rear position "Beaver-tail 4 arm"- English type Lyman Ivory sights .This is an ejector gun. I know Pictures are a must . and I can furnish on request if the sun ever come out to get some good pictures . My picture hosting site when out of business and I have not gotten FLICKR "my new site" to load on the forum side. The condition looks like it has been Handled quite a bit as Case color on the receiver bottom is only about 30 % but the case on the water table Is nearly 100% also inside Iron on forearm is 100 %. I really don't think the gun has ever been fired. The breach face of receiver has some case color Wear but only where the Ejectors would rub. all other part of breach face is 100 % no sign of any shell head Brass ever touching. Again pictures will be available just send me a email by double clicking on my user name. Thanks Perry Shooter
