Do they still make the old long tube target scopes for rimfire rifles ?

  If you want something nicer, there is the MVA series, all the way from a copy of the A5 up to a Malcom type longer than the rifle barrel.
  
  The Chinese made Leatherwood is said to be quite good optically but the mounts are pretty punk.

  Going for the look, more than anything.. It's got the original front/rear Parker-Hales's.. Haven't seen the Leatherwood hands-on, but now I'll be sure and check-out the mounts..

  Still Plenty of the great Lyman Target Spot and Jr. Target spot out there [^] but they are NOT cheap. This is a 52 target not a sporter CORRECT[?] If you have an original sporter DO NOT drill and tap to mount a LONG scope.

  Radar, if you want to do it right get a Unertl 1-1/2" target scope with the 3/4" tube. There are plenty of them around, listed here and ebay.

  If you are doing a period rife, i.e., an 1885 or '74 Sharps, check with Leatherwood. I have one, and the mounts are quite adequate for the application. If doing a Winchester 52, etc., find a target scope from that era. The mounts are made for precision shooting.
