Grip size

Wanting a defense carry SAO with a larger grip than my current carry guns. Never owned a full size 1911 just have experience with Astra A-70 and Star BM. Both are nice but the grip is a little small for me. I see a RI 1911 mid size parkerized(MSP) on G.B, this is supposed to be a full size .45acp with 4in. barrel.....i'm willing to go .45acp but will this grip feel longer than the A-70 or Star BM9? Extended mag?

  Unless you have Andre the Giant size hands the fullsize grip on the 1911a1 will fit your hand.

  Go to your local gun shop and cop some feels. I suppose you can get some over sized grips made. Or if you got the big ass mits get a Para-Ord high caps. Basically a 1911 with double wide frame.
