10/22 barrels

Since these are frequently found discarded at reasonable prices I was wondering if the 10/22 barrel will fit a 77/22 or 77/17 bolt action. I tried to search the topic but found no results.

Thanks for any info. I figure if or when .17 Mach II ammo becomes scarce or unavailable I can just convert it to a .22 caliber.

  the tenon is longer on the bolt gun and the 1 vs 2 extractor grooves

  It figures, that seemed to easy. I guess I'll try and find a .22 caliber 77/22 barrel just in case.

  You can make one work with a little machine work.
  We wanted a heavy barrel 77/22 and got one for a 10/22 and fit it to the reciever.
  www.clarkchstomguns.com has them for the 77/22.
  Also www.riflebarrels.com has some, and www.shilen.com too
  And look up green moutain barrels.

  At one time Volquartsen Custom had some new 77-22 take-off barrels listed on their web site. You might check with them.
