Changing Win SX-1 Back To Rt-Handed Safety
I just bought a Winchester Super-X Model 1 shotgun on the auction side and didn't notice the gun had been converted to a left-handed safety to accommodate a left-handed shooter. How difficult is it to convert the gun back to its original right-handed safety? Does it require unique parts and, if so, are they readily available? Is this a Nu-Line modification?
I have a factory-standard SX-1 trigger group I could simply swap for the lefty. Would it be more cost effective to simply swap out the trigger groups and sell the lefty version on the auction side, or should I convert the lefty back to a righty? Would appreciate any thoughts or recommendations. Thanks.

Still confused about why someone would have transformed a right-handed semiauto into a left-handed safety since shooting it lefty would undoubtedly get the shooter a face full of ejected hulls. Might explain why the gun appears to be nearly unfired! Still interested in finding out how to convert the thing back to right-handed safety. Is it simply a matter of reversing the safety button or will it take something more complex? Someone...anyone...help! 0 -
It might be as simple as taking the safety out and turning it around. 0
